About Us
Tucked away in Western Kentucky, Breezy Hill Acres Lavender Farm stands as a family-owned, woman ran farm, where the calming fragrance of lavender permeates the air, and nature's splendor is enjoyed each day. The journey of the farm began in 2021 when the Boggess family decided to expand their land by purchasing an additional 56 acres, complementing the 8 they already possessed. Confronted with the dual challenge of raising three energetic children and establishing a working farm, the Boggess family dedicated a year to research and planning. This endeavor gave rise to Jennifer Boggess's dream of being an involved parent while cultivating a lavender farm. Her passion for lavender began during a family vacation in the Southwest, where she encountered a lavender farm for the first time. Captivated by its beauty, she chose lavender as the ideal unique crop to grow in Kentucky. With the knowledge and guidance of Jennifer and hard work of the whole family. Officially established in 2022, Breezy Hill Acres Lavender Farm began with a planting of 300 lavender plants. Over the years, the farm has consistently expanded its lavender fields and now boasts approximately 1,000 plants. It continues to thrive as a productive farm situated near Lake Malone State Park in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky.
Our Roots
Our farm is more than just a business. Breezy Hill Acres was founded by Nick and Jennifer Boggess in 2011 when they found the perfect country setting to raise their three young children in. They started with just 8 acres of land, a few horses, and some chickens. Over the years, and with the addition of 56 acres the Boggess family is turning their dedication and love for agriculture into a working success that creates a place where visitors can experience the harmony and beauty of lavender.
Our Mission
At Breezy Hill Acres Lavender Farm, we are dedicated to providing a distinctive lavender experience and beautiful handcrafted lavender products. We seamlessly blend the cultivation, harvesting, and processing of lavender into retail products, offering a serene, interactive, and eco-friendly farm experience. With our upcoming season we strive to cultivate knowledge an appreciation among our farm visitors for small-scale agricultural production and the advantages of lavender.
